My photoshoots are not a quick 30 minute session, but more like a pampered and relaxing experience.
No matter the type of session, I plan the shoot down to every last detail so you don't need to worry about a thing, all you need to do is show up.
Your session is all about you and providing you with timeless images that are truly irreplaceable! I pride myself on quality not quantity, and exceeding clients expectations: you'll be excited to show off your images taken by Lp photography!
–Chelsea
With each Boudoir session, I include full hair and makeup services so you don't need to worry about looking your best. I also offer guidance with posing so you will look both relaxed and comfortable while showing off your best features– even if this is your first time!
Do you share my images online?
I do not share any of your images without permission. There are clients that let me share all of their photos via website, magazines and social media. Others prefer to keep their images private, while some allow me to share images but only ones of their choosing.
Where does the photo shoot take place?
There are a couple different studios we can photograph at, it all depends on your style. With the images on my website, those are taken at a studio in Cumberland, RI (right over the MA border). We can also shoot at your home, depending on lighting and space.
Can I bring someone with me to my photo shoot?
You are welcome to bring a friend with you. I know it can help clients get more comfortable.
Is hair and makeup included? Can I just do my own and save money?
Every session includes full hair and makeup services. Getting your hair and makeup done is when you can relax, get comfortable and get excited for your shoot. Having a professional do your makeup also means they know how to do camera-ready makeup that will make you feel and look boudoir ready!
I feel like I have a lot of makeup on. Am I going to look like myself?
Don’t stress! It may seem like a lot of makeup in person but on camera, it’s the right amount. But I do want you to be happy with your look, so let us know if you want to make any adjustments.
How long will the photo shoot be?
Hair and makeup can take an hour and a half. Then, depending on the package you purchase, the shoot can be 1-2 hours long, so make sure your day is free. I want you to have fun and not stress about your next appointment.
Do I bring my own lingerie?
Yes, you’ll want to bring your own lingerie. A lot of clients like to bring a couple props as well. A lot of bridal boudoir clients bring their wedding vail, garter and/or wedding shoes. I’ve had other clients bring jerseys of their partners favorite sports team. I’ve even had a client bring amazing angel wings!
I don’t know how to pose, will you help me with this?
Don’t fret! All my clients have had the same worry. I would guide you with your posing and facial expressions. I can happily say, clients always tell me that they were so worried they’d feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, but ended up having a great time!
I don’t see nude photos on your website. Do you offer that type of photography?
Yes! Clients that request these photos prefer that I don’t share them, that’s why you don’t see any on my website. I will only photograph tasteful nudes though, I will let you know if the pose is fitting to my taste.
I’m older than (or not as thin as) the girls on your website, can I still book a session?
Yes! I’ve photographed all sorts of women of age, shapes and sizes. A lot of clients aren't comfortable with their photos online. That’s why you might not see a lot of these clients.

What happens after my photo shoot?

Where do photo shoots take place?
Maternity shoots can be done outside or in a studio (there are a couple of studio options at an additional cost), depending on the style that you are looking for. With outside locations, we can shoot at a place of your choosing or I can help find the ideal location.
Why is it so expensive?
Your maternity journey will fly by so these life experiences are priceless. Maternity photography is a luxury and each session is exclusively designed around you and only you! My sessions are an experience and are designed to encompass quality over quantity. With my attention to detail and focus on quality, the products I provide my clients are timeless keepsakes. I can promise that you will cherish Lp photography products for a lifetime.
When should I schedule my maternity shoot?
It’s never too early to schedule your maternity session. I recommend at least a 4 to 6-week notice. Sometimes I can accommodate last minute requests. It is best to photograph close to 34 weeks into your pregnancy. This is when your belly is just the right size, it will be big and beautiful, but not so big that it’s difficult for you to move around, change positions, and pose for the camera. However, if you’re having twins (or more), I recommend photographing before 8 months.

Your baby will only be a newborn for a few weeks, so these moments are literally once in a lifetime. I pride myself on capturing the softness of a newborns skin, their delicate features, and the amazing cuteness that is your precious newborn! Your family will look back at these images for years, long after your child has grown up--after all, who doesn't love reminiscing with baby photos?

Why is it so expensive?
Your baby will only be a newborn for a brief period, so catching onto these life experiences is priceless. Newborn photography is a luxury and each session is exclusively designed around you and only you! This type of shoot isn't a quick 30 min shoot. With newborns, I provide an in-home session, props, posing and more. It’s all about quality not quantity. These details are what make me unique and provide you with timeless images. I can promise that you will cherish Lp photography products for a lifetime.
Why is the ideal age for a newborn session 5-10 days old?
Babies are more flexible at this age and are more likely to curl up into the womb-like poses, stay asleep longer and don’t mind being unclothed.
Does studio lighting bother my baby?
Studio lighting does not bother newborns. My lights are diffused, which makes the light very soft, just like when daytime light comes through white curtains.

Yes, one advantage of scheduling shoots far ahead of time is that you can choose to arrange a payment plan.
