East Regiment Dog Portraits | Salem, MA

As a maternity and newborn photographer, my business is usual quiet during the winter season, so, I figured, why not do something fun while I have the time?! This is how the dog portrait event at East Regiment in Salem, MA was born!

East Regiment Beer Company is located in Salem, MA. It’s a cozy spot that always has something happening AND, most importantly, is very dog friendly. Being a dog owner myself and knowing how dog friendly Salem is, I thought, why not do something fun (and free!) with another local Salem business? Therefore, I reached out to the brewery and connected with Sean, the Event & Taproom Manager, and he was super helpful and supported my event idea.

Once the day arrived I was slightly nervous because I’ve never held an event like this before and wasn’t sure if a single dog would show. Luckily, I was proven wrong and got to photograph 49 doggos! There were large dogs, small dogs, silly dogs and even a tripod named Elody. Some dogs wore sweaters, others wore bandanas, some were great cheese catchers while some, not so much. But that’s okay! That meant we got some good laughs and equally adorable pictures.
